Terms of Service

By creating an account or using RiseWell, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email and in-app at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use RiseWell.
• Users aged 13–17 have restricted access to community features, AI avatar sessions, and voice journaling.
• By registering, you confirm that the date of birth you provide is accurate.
• RiseWell is currently available only to residents of the United States. We are actively expanding.

RiseWell provides:

• Mood tracking and journaling tools for personal wellness
• AI-generated reflections based on your mood patterns (not clinical assessments)
• Coping skill exercises and psychoeducational content
• A moderated peer support community
• Avatar-based wellness conversations (educational and supportive, not therapeutic)

RiseWell does not provide:

• Medical diagnosis or treatment
• Licensed therapy or counseling
• Crisis intervention (we link to professional resources)
• Prescriptions or clinical referrals

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account or create accounts for others.
• You must provide accurate registration information.
• You must notify us immediately at hello@risewell.app if you suspect unauthorized account access.

RiseWell's community spaces are for peer support — a privilege, not a right. You agree not to:

• Share personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles)
• Request money, cryptocurrency, or gift cards
• Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, or harassing
• Share content that glorifies self-harm, suicide methods, or eating disorders
• Impersonate mental health professionals
• Advertise products, services, or external platforms

Violations may result in post removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. We take safe-messaging guidelines seriously and moderate with care.

• Free plan — core features with daily check-in limit, no payment required
• RiseWell Core — billed monthly or annually, access to unlimited check-ins, trends, and AI insights
• RiseWell Premium — includes all Core features plus voice journaling, avatar sessions, and community access

Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Mobile subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Subscription prices are displayed at checkout.

Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for mid-period cancellations. Contact hello@risewell.app within 7 days of purchase if you believe a charge is in error.

Free trial: Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial ends. You may cancel during the trial at no cost.

All content, features, and functionality of RiseWell — including but not limited to text, graphics, AI-generated responses, and software — are owned by RiseWell Inc. and protected by copyright law.

Your content: Journal entries, mood data, and voice recordings you create remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process and store them to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your personal content.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISEWELL INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to RiseWell in the 12 months preceding the claim.

RiseWell is a wellness support tool. We are not liable for outcomes related to mental health decisions made based on app content. Always consult a qualified mental health professional for clinical concerns.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
